Sea urchins are simple, geometric-shaped creatures with telltale barbs that inhabit all oceans â€" the kind of natural sculpture that inspires both poetic words and designer light fixtures. The Urchin 1 Light Pendant in Un-Mellow Yellow captures that geometry in metal, with hand-shaped barbs radiating from a central core in a high-energy, hand-painted yellow finish. As a sea urchin pendant light clustered above a kitchen island in threes or fives, Urchin stacks beautifully, as a single mini pendant or globe pendant light over a kid's room, breakfast nook, hallway, or entryway, the silhouette reads designer rather than stock. The frame is hand-forged from 70% recycled steel, the Un-Mellow Yellow finish is hand-applied in multi-layered passes with low-VOC paint, every barb is shaped.
